I made this carousel book as a present for my husband for Christmas. I hope to create more handmade books in the future.
This paper book was made with pencil, gouache and markers. It measures 8X6.5cm. To figure out how to separate elements into FG, MG, and BG, rough sketches were made. There are three layers of folded papers, each layer has five panels. I painted and carved out the parts that would not be visible. When I fully opened the book, it resembled a star shape.
